The Quebec Maple Syrup Producers (QMSP) was founded in 1966 with the mission of defending and promoting the economic, social and moral interests of some 7,300 maple businesses across Quebec. These men and women work together to establish quality standards as well as collectively market and promote their products. 80% of the world’s maple syrup comes from Canada; and of the maple syrup that Canada produces, 91% of that comes from the province of Quebec. About 72% of total maple syrup production is produced in Quebec.
