Your Weekly Horoscope Is Here: What's In The Stars For You?
Love hearing from The AstroTwins? Check out Ophi’s appearance on our new podcast, where she offers insight on crucial topics like how to handle Mercury retrograde, what to do if you’re in a relationship that’s astrologically incompatible, and the rituals we should all be prioritizing when there’s a new or full moon.
Can sensuality and sense coexist? This week, the stars say, yes! On Monday, July 24, va-va-voom Venus makes her annual opposition to structure-obsessed Saturn, pulling us between two extremes. Venus lives by the pleasure principle while Saturn follows an engineer's blueprints. Their awkward dance CAN be helpful, however, if we strive for a healthy balance.
Romantically and artistically, we'll all have to come down from the clouds near Monday and think long-term.
Conversations about "the future" don't have to be a buzzkill, though! Harness Venus' playful spirit while keeping one foot planted on Saturn's solid earth. Couples or creative collaborators could hash out longer-term plans that make them feel safe and more deeply bonded. How can you best support each other's dreams…even if they pull you in slightly different directions? How might you better manage shared resources like finances? Do you need to raise some money to fund a project or a co-created vision?
Whether you're planning an end-of-year pilgrimage to Bali, building a tiny house, or starting a college fund for your kid, dive into the nitty-gritty details. Artistic types might find their business managers this week—someone who can agent deals and help you monetize your talents while also protecting your right to your intellectual property. P.S.: Since Venus is in Gemini and Saturn is in Sagittarius—two hypercommunicative signs, conversations could be lively, passionate, and productive.
On Tuesday, messenger Mercury sprinkles more practical magic into the equation when he wings into Virgo until September 29 (on and off).
Normally, the messenger planet hangs in a sign for three weeks, but due to an upcoming retrograde from August 12 to September 5 (consider yourself warned), he'll hover in the Virgo zone for an extended stay. Mercury is the ruler of Virgo, and this analytical cycle encourages us to slow down, simplify, and systematize. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Put more security measures in place so you're covered for those rainy days. Maybe that means auto-transferring money from each paycheck into a rainy-day fund and retirement account—BEFORE you accidentally spend it all on brunch and Mara Hoffman bikinis.
If your sensitive data isn't properly password protected or backed up to the cloud, handle those security measures now...
...especially before Mercury's U-turn August 12! As Virgo is the sign that governs healthy routines, our summertime hedonism could come to a halt. Then again, why deprive? Just slice those berries, peaches, and watermelon wedges into fruit salads or toss them in the blender with some enzyme-rich kale. Make more time for movement. Rally friends for lap swims, yoga in the park, and evening bike rides.
Despite all this pragmatism, there's no need to worry about the muse hitting snooze.
All week long, the self-expressive Sun and make-it-happen Mars are traveling in a close connection through flamboyant Leo. On Wednesday, they'll make an exact connection, firing off some wild visions and making us feel invincibly confident. The ego boost will surely be welcome as long as it doesn't turn into an ego TRIP. There will be some big personalities on the world stage—which could either turn into the most amazing talent show 2017 has seen or a royal rumble. Rather than battling for domination, use this celestial surge to promote your talents on social media, pitch a dream client or slay on the virtual runway. If you feel ready for a big reveal, Wednesday could be THE day!
