Your Weekly Horoscope Is Here: What's In The Stars For You?
Romance, intrigue, and karmic connections! It's all crackling in the ether as seductive Pluto in Capricorn sits opposite Venus, the cosmic coquet, in Cancer this Tuesday, August 15. As much as people SAY they're not into games, let's be honest: The cat and mouse chase can be a huge turn-on—provided there's some sort of reward at the end and not an endless pursuit.
Unraveling a mysterious personality or even pushing our bedroom game to new edges can add heat to the week. But this transit is not for the faint of heart. Power struggles CAN erupt in a Fifty Shades kinda way—and people's intentions may be a bit more nefarious than they let on. And with Pluto holding court in Capricorn, business dealings could also be tinged with some shadowy behavior.
Don't let people tug on your heartstrings (a pitfall of Venus in Cancer) only to emotionally manipulate you into a raw deal! Business is business. Beyond the social graces involved, leave the personal out of it.
On Thursday, Venus gets into another tangled angle, this time with "no limits" Jupiter in hedonistic Libra.
These two planets are known as great benefic planets since they have mainly positive and expansive qualities. Said another way, both want "more!" and will stop at nothing to get it. Venus is the ultimate party girl. Like Paris Hilton in the aughts, she lives to dance on tabletops and fall hopelessly in love with bad-boy scions.
Jupiter is the Anthony Scaramucci of the skies, defying gravity with over-the-top swagger, foul-mouthed bravado, and a reckless trajectory. When these two wind up in a challenging angle (in this case a 90-degree square) there can be WAY too much of a good thing. Willpower flies out the window, and budgets do, too. And that wild bender can come with consequences. Oh, the hangover!
The key to mastering a Venus-Jupiter square is to notice your desires and honor them. But instead of grasping for the shiniest object or letting FOMO take hold, sate your lust for life in a measured way. In the words of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius Mark Twain, "Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please."
Life flows at an easier pace this weekend—but certainly not a boring one!
On Sunday, electrifying Uranus in Aries dances into an abundant trine (120-degree angle) with the playful Leo Sun. Time to soak up the summer magic by getting out under the wide-open skies. Detour away from the usual places and go explore a new scene in your city or snag those last-minute tickets to an eclipse viewing or music festival.
With communal Uranus and the Sun both in fire signs, group hangs will be especially lively. Talk to strangers! A five-minute exchange could be fascinating enough to change your life for the better. Since Uranus is retrograde, maybe it's time to return to a much-hyped place that didn't deliver the first time around. You never know…the second or third time might be the charm.
