An Introduction To The Solar Plexus Chakra + How To Heal It
The seven chakras are the main energy centers of the body. The third chakra, Manipura or the solar plexus chakra, controls our feelings about the world around us. Located in the stomach region, it impacts how we digest food as well as emotions. Here's a quick beginner's guide to this chakra:
Location of the solar plexus chakra.
The pit of the stomach, in line with the small intestine.

Self-worth, emotion, digestion.

Exercises for opening the solar plexus chakra.
- Opening the solar plexus is all about lighting the digestive fire. One way to do so is with breathing exercises like Agnisar Kriya, which brings the stomach up and in.
- Inhale, and say the mantra "ram" for a few seconds on the exhale. Repeat.
Beneficial foods for the solar plexus chakra.
- Yellow foods like corn
- Grains and fiber
- Peppermint and chamomile tea
