Now that the weather is officially "cold," you may find you skin feeling uncomfortably tight, chapped and dry. When the skin on your face starts to crack and feel sore, even the mildest face products can sting. Luckily, there are natural and pure recipes out there that can help heal your winter skin.
This winter face mask uses bananas, oats, honey and coconut oil to soothe, moisturize and give your skin a natural, healthy glow.
Banana-Honey Winter Face Mask
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup of oats
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoons coconut oil
Preparation
Add all the ingredients to a food processor and blitz until smooth. Spoon into a container, seal and store in the fridge for up to 30 minutes to cool.
Meanwhile, wash you face with an organic natural face wash, then pat dry. Apply the mixture to the sore patches or to your entire face. Leave for 10-15 minutes.
Wash the mask off gently using warm water, making sure you don't use soap. Pat dry and apply a small amount of coconut oil as a moisturizer.
